Skylab: Mission Blackout Costume Contest
On September 22nd, the Denver Coliseum will be transformed into our launch pad for Skylab: Mission Blackout. To send you soaring through a far away galaxy, we are preparing a fully themed universe with three out-of-this-world stages, intergalactic entertainers, gravity-defying musical performances and more.
We need you, our mission specialists, to help complete the transformation. We encourage you to come dressed in your best cosmic costume to create a full extraterrestrial ambiance at Skylab! This is mission blackout but your costume does NOT necessarily need to be all black. This theme is open to creative interpretation. You can create a creature that would exist in the blackout, come dressed as an alien or astronaut that is exploring the blackout, dress up as your favorite nocturnal animal or have an outfit that will react with the backlights that will flood Skylab.
What will you become when you embrace the darkness?
This year, those of your who really embrace the darkness will be rewarded! Ha Hau, the main man behind Skylab/Global Dance/Triad Dragons, will be wandering through Skylab handing out Hallowfreaknween tickets to those dressed in the most out-of-this-world costumes. Get creative and you may return to Earth with a free ticket to Colorado's biggest Halloween dance party!
